I can’t stop listening to Lana Del Rey.
(wild cherry tea with soy milk)

just a little something i’ve been working on between commissions, show deadlines, makeup jobs, overcoming a cold and walks in the sun wearing heart-shaped sunglasses. the next two months are going to be so crazy i don’t even want to think about it!!!
this summer is going to rule!

working on this painting - ‘wonderland’ themed for an upcoming show. i got a little carried away with the hair, haha.
wishing everyone a beautiful start to their week!
so much love,
Bei Badgirl XOXOX

current show brief is a 10”x10” illustration on paper. this is so strange for me!

My brother got me a wacom for my birthday! it’s pretty fun. here’s a sketch i’m working on for a painting- it’s about time i’ve got a mermaid going on, right? damn! if you follow my twitter you’ll know that all i tend to tweet about is how much i wish i was one. that, and how much i love lattes.
It’s subject to change but I hope you like it so far! just working on cleaning it all up and stuff xxx
ALSO: i’ve decided that 2011 is the year to start Bei Badgirl merchandise! I’m hoping to have some prints organized within the next few months- but i was wondering if you were open to the idea of vinyl wall stickers and stuff like that too? More on that later.
Kisses,
Bei Badgirl XXXOOO
italianlightning-deactivated201 asked: I have to say I was rather shocked when I saw you followed me back! I was going to ask the inspiration question, thats been done! So I guess I'm just going to praise you, well you inspired me to pick up the pencil and get sketching away again!
What makes me adore you even more is that you fully answer peoples questions, you don't just shrug them off like alot of people on here do, or rather artists!
So what is your favourite piece that you have done? xox
thanks, honey!
to be honest, i’m not too sure what my favourite piece is. i think i love them all equally- they are all quite personal.
as a young artist i’m aware that my work is still hugely vulnerable to change, so over time i notice stylistic differences in my pieces that i find really mark what age i made them. sometimes this bothers me, but largely it doesn’t… an example of this is my work for Extra Cheeese in 2007. the brief was to make an artwork on a pizza box.
since my paintings receive a lot of great attention, i always treasure the small drawings and scribbles i do that receive less recognition!
i have listed some of these as examples… although they are not super polished like the paintings i make now, i hope they put a smile on your face ♥
