If you’re in Cali, come to this!!! ♥ ♥ I have some new work in this exhibition (yes… My Little Pony themed!!!) I know I gush about you all the time, but again I want to state how important your artwork and your outlook on life is for me. A couple of months ago, I was really depressed and totally hated myself and had to leave school, and I tried (and have many times before) to kill myself. My parents admitted me to therapy, and I've gotten better since, but in therapy they reiterated a lot of your ethos, and it's really stuck! I feel like I'm worth the world, and I like that I can find that in your work ♡

I’ve spoken to Cassie (bowfolk) and have asked for her permission to share this sugar sweet message - it’s important for those going through depression to be reminded that they aren’t alone. I feel truly blessed and humbled whenever I receive comments on my work similar to this one.

I think that feelings of sadness, hopelessness, heartache, mourning and desperation are very human emotions and crucial to experience. If you want to get pretty about it - think of it like rain and rainbows, and then the clearest, most perfect days. Women are creatures of emotion (to be extremely general), so I suppose that we suffer these feelings more often. However, the thing about unhappiness is that once you feel it - you can actually start resolving it.

One of my favourite quotes is by mega babe Dolly Parton - “If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.” Another very basic one, by Wayne Dyer is “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change”. I like the simple truths in both of these and I think about them all the time.

Earlier today, I read what was probably the most Disney Status Perfect description on these feelings of sadness in Kate Carraway’s article Girls and Giving Up:

“…Giving up isn’t for real or forever, it’s just a controlled forest fire, a way of being in it, bad. Do it long enough and you have to come out on the other side, scarred and coughing, but clean.”

So with that - take heed, be brave, drink some tea and forget about everything. Follow your dreams! The universe will provide! Just Be Cute & Don’t Worry!

So Mr Postman delivered this little guy to me this morning! I’ll be customizing it for Hasbro’s My Little Pony Project (New York) in October!

I can’t even tell you how excited and smitten I am!!! Anyone who knows me will know that I’ve been dying to work with designer toys. BEI BADGIRL X MY LITTLE PONY - got that kawaii on LOQQQQ!

A few days ago I received an email from a girl named Zsofi that moved me very much. With her permission - I want to share it with you. If this letter can help just one person, even just a fraction, on their own road to recovery with body image troubles or eating disorder - I’ll be overjoyed. x

Hey.

I just wanted to tell you - in the spite of my horrible English - that you probaby saved my life.

Three years ago when I was 13 i grew a bit and i became a little chubby. I was a child so i didn’t realize it ‘till last year, when i drifted into anorexia. It was very painful. I eat less then 200 calories/day for 6 days, and lose almost 5 kilos, then i ate a huge meal in the end of the week and it came back. Again and again, almost every week, for a year. I almost lost my friends and most of time i slept, or lied on my bed cried. i was alone, nobody knew about my disorder (still).

It started in 2010 october. This october i was 52 kg and 175 cm. I started high school in a brand new class. And i find you accidentally on the internet.

And i thought that you look amazing, you are like Marie Antoinette, like baroque beauty, like a mermaid. And I went upstairs, and started to eat.
It started like a usual binge, but it was different. I could taste the food, and i stopped when i ate enough, normally. I don’t know, it just stopped. And I didn’t feel like counting calories ever again.

This happened about a month ago. Now I 63 kg, and i love my body this way. I feel happy, i didn’t feel bad for eating, for eating in front of other people or friends.

I have energy for life, and i can give much happiness and love to my friends again. Seems like they don’t forget me, while i was sleeping. They noticed the change. I hated myself then, but now the boys are crazy about me, and my big boobs - and nobody cares that my thighs are touching. It’s so good. You saved me! I thought being skinny = beauty, and you showed me it isn’t. My life is complete and healthy now.

I just wanted to say thank you for being such a lovely and inspiring person.
I’m very grateful.
